If I had to choose which style has given me the most in return I would certainly say Landscape.
Getting out and exploring the wealth of beautiful areas, both local and further afield is great for photography opportunities but also for myself.

Ilkley Moor
A true gem of the Yorkshire countryside. For many years before we had a car this was a place that we could easily get to by train for a long walk and a taste of the countryside – it will always be a special place to me.

Shropshire
This trip to Shropshire was my first trip away from home armed with my film camera.
I think seeing the way that the dynamic range of how film captured the clouds in these shots was one of the things the cemented my love of film photography.

On the Long Mynd you find a more classic English countryside than you could ever hope for – with heather in bloom, wild horses and an elevated view over it all for the perfect scene.
I was with my photographer friend Vic at this time and I'm fairly certain we jumped out of the car before it even stopped moving.
