The area of photography I currently feel the weakest is definitely portraiture.
A great portrait is something I find special, the way it can capture a person in a single frame. I would love to do that.
It is said that the best way to learn is by doing, so I am trying to push myself outside of my comfort zone and practice this skill.
Hopefully there will be an improved selection soon.

I don't find that directing people and posing comes naturally to me, so I am currently doing what I assume most have before me –

This photo means a lot to me as it was the first time I summoned up the courage to ask a stranger to take their photo.
I wish I had summoned up a bit more courage and had got closer and framed this photo a lot better – it could have made it a much stronger photograph.
That said though this is a marker of progression for me and hopefully will get easier with time.
