Austin, Houston and New Orleans
This was my first holiday abroad bringing my film camera with me.
The nerves and anticipation were high enough just getting used to film – they grew even more with the thought of negatives being ruined by airport security.
When scanning and seeing how it worked out I was in a state of pure excitement.

The food, the architecture, the people. There was certainly a general "American" vibe to each city – but as my first time visiting the south there was something distinctly southern as well.
Each city had its own unique asthetic, especially New Orleans.

The Waterfront

There is always something about a waterfront within a large city that just seems out of place, but still welcome.

One thing that struck me was the spectrum when it came to architecture. The sheer differences in size, age and style.

Barren Nature

Pentax ME Super - Kodak Portra 400
One environment that was visually so alien to me was that of barren nature. It is just so different to where I live.
Somehow so full of life despite hard conditions – but with death visible.
